scrappy tuesday.

this week's challenge is an inspiration one. marcy posted this picture for us to be inspired by. not only did i love the colour scheme, but i was drawn to the handwritten love and the wooden planks behind it.

oddly enough when it came to picking out paper, i realized i didn't have much grey at all, and most of the yellow paper i had was of the same pattern and tone, which would have created a very boring layout. so instead i just decided to use the feel of the wood planks and the yellow title. i put my journaling in between the strips of pp. this is what i came up with:

pp: amy butler, crate | punch: martha stewart classic butterfly | mist: studio calico white mister huey | embellies: american crafts, maya road

i bought that amy butler paper pack over a year ago and after a few months decided i was done with it and sold it to marcy at the mss garage sale, not before tearing out a sheet or two of each design. now, i'm kicking myself as i find myself reaching for it over and over lately. have you ever done that?

anyway, if you want to participate in this challenge, or any of the other challenges, feel free to post your layouts in the corresponding thread here. can't wait to see what you make!
